🌞 *Another day at our “Sonechko” — despite the rain and the air-raid alert, childhood goes on!* 🌞
Today, the weather changed our plans a little — it rained 🌧️ and there was an air-raid alert. But our children continued to spend their day in an interesting and meaningful way: they took part in activities, played different games, completed quests and fun tasks, spent time together, and simply enjoyed each other’s company. 🧩🎨🎲
🛡️ *And most importantly — our children are safe!*
Last summer, together with all of you, we built our own bomb shelter for the children. It took a lot of work, effort, support from caring people, and above all, a huge desire to create a place where our children could be protected.
And today, once again, we understand just how important that work was. ❤️
Whenever an air-raid alert sounds, our children safely and calmly move to the equipped shelter, where they remain under the constant supervision of adults. Even there, life at “Sonechko” does not stop — we continue our activities, play games, organize quests, and keep the children engaged.
*This summer, our children can enjoy their time here in safety.* 💛💙 In these extremely difficult times for our country, this is the most important thing for us. Because children’s laughter should be louder than air-raid sirens, and childhood should remain childhood.
🍽️ *And, as always, our children enjoyed delicious and nutritious meals:*
🥞 *Breakfast:* freshly made pancakes with strawberry jam and warm tea.
🍲 *Lunch:* green sorrel borscht, buckwheat, a baked meat patty, a fresh vegetable salad with cabbage, tomatoes and cucumbers, and homemade fruit compote.
🍎 *Dinner:* a sweet cake, an apple, a juicy peach, and tea.
Despite the rain and the air-raid alert, the day was full, cheerful, and interesting. Our children were well fed, engaged in activities, surrounded by care and, most importantly, *protected and safe*. 🫶
This is exactly why we work. For the children. For their smiles. So that even in these difficult times, they have a place where they can play, make friends, learn, grow, and feel safe. ☀️❤️
